Abby is quite a character! I wasn't expecting the mild-mannered, quiet dog that was riding in the back of the jeep. I wasn't disappointed, though. Once we got out on our walk, she was all puppy. Bouncing up and down, interested in everything, a young pit bull is so much fun!
She is fostered with a couple of larger dogs, but holds her own nicely around them. Abby is in search for a family to adopt her. She's really playful and loves other dogs and people so she'll fit into a family well. As with most pitts, she responds well to firm, consistent leadership. I was surprised at how well she responded to the leashed walk, even when confronted with squirrels, dogs, and all sorts of other distractions.
She is still very much a puppy and her attention span is short, but she's also eager to please. If her sit is any indication, she'll take to obedience training very well. It will just take someone who can keep her attention and speak a bit of her language!
