I started with Canine Adventure in December of 2009 and I can’t think of a more
rewarding job. Nothing compares to sloppy face licking and uncontrollable body
wagging. Not to mention the countless life lessons that dogs can teach us. I
can honestly say that I would not have an ounce of patience if it weren't for my
dogs.
Walking with dogs just makes me happy. My dogs, your dogs, any dogs!
Growing up my family always had dogs. When I turned 18, I got a rottweiler and
named her Sa. She was MY dog. I took her everywhere with me. Her favorite
thing in the world was riding in cars. Especially in cars headed for the
river. We would walk for hours just wandering around Belle Isle or Reedy
Creek. Sa passed in 2004 but she is still with me today.
In April
2010 I am getting married to Erin. She has two amazing daughters, Ashlyn and
Kealey. They have been a big part of my life for the last three years and I
don't know what I would do without them. In 2009, our family became complete
when we rescued two puppies from a local shelter. After we adopted these two
goofballs, we knew our lives were forever changed for the better. This is my
pack.
About Linus...
In August of 2009, I went to the local shelter to begin the search for my new
dog. I didn’t have any hope that I would find one right away. The new dog had
to be perfect and we had to have an immediate bond. When I first saw Linus, I
knew he would be mine. I put in an application. I was told that there was an
application already pending for Linus and I would have to wait another business
day to see if they would claim him. They never showed.
Linus is an old soul. He is perfect for our family. He enjoys long walks at
the river, car rides and keeping his little sister Lucy in line. He even looks
after the kids.
Linus is my best friend.
About Lucy...
I wanted a companion dog for Linus. We searched the local shelters to find the
perfect dog. This time Erin went to the shelter and for her, this black terrier
mix puppy was love at first sight. She put in an application on her and was
told there was already an application pending. A few days went by and we figured the other people picked her up. I went back
to begin the search again. Luckily Lucy was still there.
Lucy is such a sweet hyper girl. She is always wagging her tail and ready for
anything. She follows me all over the place and loves to give kisses.
