Rupert is Katie's brother. He's a miniature schnauzer with the heart of a lab, always eager to play and pretty easy to get wound up! He really served as an ambassador with his sister, who was a little hesitant to befriend me. Ru did his best to show Katie that I was ok, and I appreciate his efforts.
I think this guy wishes he was a much larger dog, the way he stretches up on my leg when I come over makes me think that if he could get his paws on my shoulder, he would! I make sure to get down to his level so he can have a good sniff at my ear, usually followed by his tongue.
The only thing that still baffles me about Rupert is how he'll strut over with a stuffed animal almost as large as he is, putting it down at my side as if he wants to play. Then, he'll ignore it, no fetch, no tug of war, he won't even attack it if I make it come to life (this is a very advanced dog-play technique that I can't disclose here). What's your game, Rupert? I'm sure I'll figure it out before long...
