Wyatt is a hound/whippet mix. He's a smaller guy, very thin and doesn't seem like he's that much dog on first glance. He might jump up and try to lick you on the face which may clue you in to the incredible power he possesses in his legs. Combine this with his light, compact frame and you have a dog that can really run!
A whippet is a sighthound, similar to a greyhound. Whippets accellerate faster and handle better than any other dog. Wyatt holds true to his heritage.
He is very playful with other dogs and really enjoys having company on adventure walks. Wyatt will quickly lure a dog into chasing him just so he can show off, and you can tell he's loving it by his big grin and the sly look in his eye! He's also a very obedient boy and is eager to show off his obedience. He actually taught me that he knows how to walk at heel! Marshall is still working on this and I'll probably use Wyatt as a teaching aid.
